Phoenix, AZ – Today the Arizona Freedom Caucus released a statement celebrating their historic pro-freedom wins in the AZ House budget:
The Arizona Freedom Caucus has been hard at work fighting for a conservative budget that includes historic wins for the people of Arizona. On account of this important months-long fight, the Arizona Freedom Caucus was able to secure the following critical policy wins passed in the budget by the Arizona House tonight:
· Prohibits political persecutions and weaponization of gov’t by the corrupt Attorney General
· A 2.5% tuition CUT and a 3-year tuition/fees freeze for in-state students at AZ’s public universities
· Provides $4M for the Maricopa County Recorder & $1M for the Yuma County Recorder — untouchable by the Boards of Supervisors — allowing them to do their job and ensure REAL Election Integrity
· Funds REAL voter roll maintenance by the Maricopa County Recorder
· Strips corrupt Marxist Adrian Fontes of all of his major budget requests
· Requires that all federal funds given to corrupt Marxist Adrian Fontes get approved by the legislature before being spent
· Bans Arizona public universities from providing tuition subsidies of any kind to ILLEGAL ALIENS
· ‘Freedom to Move’ — the ballot referral to prevent the government from tracking or taxing your miles driven has PASSED the House and been sent to the voters
· Funds ASU’s conservative bastion, the Center for American Institutions
· Creates a Teacher’s Academy for the conservative Grand Canyon University
· Bans the totally broken Arizona court system from hiring lobbyists at taxpayer expense
· Prohibits the totally broken court system from stacking boards and commissions with their own employees
· Requires a 3-year freeze on compensation related increases for the horribly corrupt Family Court judges and employees
“We are thrilled with these hard-won policy wins that, if enacted, would make Arizonans life better and freer in multiple ways,” said Arizona Freedom Caucus Chairman Senator Jake Hoffman. “We appreciate our House colleagues for working with us to achieve these huge wins for all Arizonans, and call on our Senate colleagues to do the same. We still have much generational work to do in getting our fiscal house in order, so this conservative bill should be the starting point of the Arizona Legislature’s negotiations with Democrat Katie Hobbs. We commit to continuing to advocate for the great policies we have championed throughout this process so far.”
